MANAGEMENT APPLIED RESEARCH UNIT

The Applied Management Research Center (UNIAG) comes from the collaboration of researchers from four Polytechnic Institutes: IP-Bragança, IP Cávado and Ave, IP Porto and IP Viana do Castelo - members of the Association of Polytechnics of Northern Portugal (APNOR) . The UNIAG mission is based on the promotion and transversal development of applied scientific research, especially in the sphere of organizational management, tourism and public policies.

The main objective of this research center is to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, contributing to the identification and promotion of added value, competitive advantages and the development of a potential for excellence in the regional area of operation of the 4 IPs. Support practice-based innovation by establishing partnerships and links with companies, institutions in the region but also with a strong internationalization component, seeking to establish research partnerships. It is intended to bring together interdisciplinary as well as multidisciplinary teams that collaboratively develop specific research lines that contribute to the development of applied research, in the research areas considered to pursue the research center mission and strategic objectives.
